Coronation Connections showcases pieces of coronation memorabilia, some on display for the first time, highlighting our unique connection with a Monarch’s coronation.

 

You can see official ceremony invitations to the wife of Bishop Bradfield (pictured above) maps of the coronation procession, celebratory coronation coins, programmes, news coverage and photographs all marking a very special occasion in Britain's history.

 

The largest item on display is the actual coronation cope worn by the Bishop of Bath & Wells at the ceremony. The cope recently underwent conservation repair work in preparation for its inclusion in this display. Repairs were made to the gold thread work.
