Opening hours
On the rare ocassion we need to fully or partly close The Bishop's Palace to visitors for private hire we will always list these dates on our events calendar and below. You are welcome to call us on 01749 988111 ext 200 to double check we are open before you visit.
Last admission is always one hour before closing time.
Palace Closed, Gardens and Chapel open HALF PRICE ENTRY
Due to wedding receptions the Palace is closed on the following dates;
Saturdays: 6 April, 13 April, 1 June, 22 June, 6 July and 7 September
Fridays: 16 August
The gardens and Chapel remain open as usual and entry on these dates is half price. Other discount vouchers are not valid on these dates. Multimedia guides are still available so you can experience the Palace virtually sat either in the sunshine of the gardens or enjoying a cuppa and a cake in The Bishop's Table.
